This tumultuous year has brought great challenges to Guardian students and families. Guardian opened the 2020-2021 school year on August 19 with 402 children enrolled. Our teachers are fully engaged in guiding learning, and our students are eager to learn, whether they are in the classroom or joining from home via distance learning. Unfortunately, the families we serve reside in ZIP codes that have been hit the hardest by COVID-19, causing even greater economic disparities. Many have experienced the loss of jobs or interruption in wages and are struggling financially as they care for children and sick family members. For many, it is an increasing hardship to pay even their small portion of school fees.
With no clear end in sight to this pandemic, we need your help. Our students need financial assistance more than ever. Guardian must raise $200,000 by the end of the year to help close the opportunity gap for our students. A gift of any size will help, and thanks to the Michael Ward and Jennifer Glock Foundation, all gifts will be matched up to $100,000. This is a fantastic opportunity to double your gift and your impact on Guardian students. Can we count on you to join the COVID CHALLENGE?
Please help us ensure that no child will be denied the opportunity to receive a high-quality education, especially during this overwhelming time. You can make your gift online now or mail a check made payable to “Guardian Catholic School” to 4920 Brentwood Avenue, Suite 201, Jacksonville, FL 32206.
We eagerly look forward to welcoming you back to campus when it is safe to do so. In the meantime, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call me directly at (904) 765-6522.
You are a blessing to our children! Thank you for saying yes, particularly during these difficult times. We pray that God’s abundant blessings protect you, your family, and our school community.
