Our School

The Guardian Catholic School opened in August 2017, combining the legacies of St. Pius V and Holy Rosary Catholic Schools into one new school. Guardian Catholic School serves students from Pre-K3 through eighth grade.

The mission of Guardian Catholic School is to help each student attain their potential through high quality Catholic education in a Christ-centered environment that inspires each of us to think, learn, achieve, pray and serve our communities. Students at Guardian Catholic School benefit from smaller class sizes, individualized instruction, a Christian environment, modern classroom design, state-of-the-art educational technology and our campuses first-ever indoor gymnasium.

Recognizing early education as an essential component to long-term academic success, Guardian Catholic School continues a focus on early learning that began in 2007 with early learning centers at St. Pius V and Holy Rosary. Today, our Early Learning Program boasts a high rating from the Early Learning Coalition of Duval and 100 percent of our Pre-K students achieve “Kindergarten-ready” status — making our centers the most highly-rated programs in Jacksonville’s urban core.

Throughout their educational experience, our students are prepared with critical thinking skills, confidence and a life-long love of learning. In fact, more than 90 percent of our alumni go on to graduate high school (well above both local and state average) and pursue higher education.
