In 2015, Guardian Catholic Schools launched “Build the Dream, Guard the Legacy” a $10 million capital campaign to support efforts to combine St. Pius V and Holy Rosary Catholic Schools, two critical, high-impact North Jacksonville schools, into one location.
St. Pius V and Holy Rosary Catholic Schools, of the Diocese of St. Augustine, provided Pre-K3 through eighth grade students, regardless of their financial situation or religious preference, with the skills, confidence and love of learning that enabled more than 90 percent of them going on to graduate high school.
The decision to build one new school stemmed from the physical state of the historic buildings and their infrastructure — St. Pius, more than 90 years old and Holy Rosary, more than 60 years old. With mounting costs for repairs and maintenance, the mission of the schools was in jeopardy. The new, single, cost-effective Guardian Catholic School has allowed us to expand enrollment and offer modern facilities for STEM, arts, music and physical education.
We’re still looking for donors, partners and investors who want to be part of “building the dream and guarding the legacy,” to help deserving students in reaching their fullest potential. Naming opportunities are still available.
Please consider a pledge to our campaign. Children are our capital — help us build their future!
