St. Pius V Catholic School was established in 1921 by the Diocese of St. Augustine Catholic Church. Operating under the same founding principles pledged over 85 years ago, St. Pius V continues to provide a quality education and spiritual support for families in Jacksonville’s Northside.

At St. Pius V, our highly experienced and caring teachers inspire children in Pre-K through the eighth grade to reach their dreams. The school has only one class per grade, and class sizes are small with only 15 students in Pre-K and up to 20 students in all other grades.

Other programs include:

  • Regularly scheduled physical education and co-ed sports program
  • St. Pius VComputer lab
  • Early language intervention programs
  • Accelerated reading programs
  • Hands-on learning
  • After school tutoring and homework assistance
  • Extended Day Care for Pre-K3
    and Pre-K4
  • Field trips
  • Expanded early learning classrooms for Pre-K3, plus a new computer lab coming in the
    2008-2009 school year

Tuition at St. Pius V Catholic School is $3,600 per year, and financial aid and scholarship assistance is available for families who qualify. Parent/Guardian involvement is crucial to the development of a child and to the strength of the school, so all St. Pius V families are required to volunteer 25 hours each school year.
